Project VOICE is a team of highly accomplished writers, performers, and educators. As Writers we have published Amazon best sellers, been nominated for Pushcart Prizes, been featured on radio and television, and had our poetry published in numerous literary journals, magazines, and anthologies. As Performers we have thrilled international audiences from National Poetry Slam stages to TED Conferences, from HBO Television to NPR Radio and Lincoln Center. Videos of our performances have been viewed several millions of times online, and we have performed in thousand-seat amphitheaters, late night dive bars, high school gymnasiums, university auditoriums, and everything in between. As Educators we have earned Degrees in Education, mentored students of all ages, taught in hundreds of classrooms and communities around the world, led professional development workshops with educators, been interviewed and featured in Education publications, and been featured presenters at education conferences such as the International Baccalaureate Organization, the National Association of Independent Schools, The European Council of International Schools, The African International Schools Association, The New Brunswick Teachers Association, and more. And now we are overjoyed to welcome Elizabeth Acevedo to the Project VOICE team to join Sarah Kay, Phil Kaye, Franny Choi and Robbie Q. Telfer! Elizabeth is an acclaimed and sought-after poet and teacher, and we’re lucky to call her part of the Project VOICE family!
